Jig in action

This is the crank side. Turn the crank to slide the material an exact amount of 1/16". The blade is 1/8", so the procedure is 2 turns then cut. It would be a lot quicker with a dado, but alas, with my simple table saw, I can't fit one. It is a good idea to clamp the material to the sliding assembly with secure the piece to make sure it doesn't move while you are cutting it.
