A Methodology and Laboratory Setup for Digital to Analog Converter Testing

This paper will discuss a methodology for testing Digital to Analog (DAC) converters. An efficient
Lab Setup with a high level of reuse will be described. Also discussed will be implementation details of
various tests.

This methodology focuses on validation of DACs, but attention is also placed to create a high level
of automation. This not only makes debug efficient, but also makes it possible to do characterization work on
the bench. The quicker these objectives can be reached, the shorter the time to market.
